Thank you for your help, Levent. Most responses were for Brown or Datek. I was going to try Datek because they advertise 60 second execution...that is until your response. You are the only one to use both currently. Thus your take is very much appreciated.

Hi Steve,

I am a full-time daytrader (stocks), and I use Brown and Datek. I've had an account with Brown for almost 10 years now, and am extremely satisfied with them. I don't think anybody comes even close with respect to commissions, speed and quality of execution. Overall, it's been a very smooth and problem free relationship. Datek is OK, it has its strengths and weaknesses, definitely a second choice for me. The rest of the names in your list, one should stay away unless one is a very casual investor. I heard a lot of horror stories on almost all of them.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Levent Erbora

I trade mostly stocks ( day trade to short term) and have used Charles Schwab since 1986. I am not satisfied with their response time or fee structure. Has anyone recently worked thru a stock broker selection? E*Trade, Datek, DLJ Direct, Ameritrade, Quick & Reilly, Web Street.

Thanks for your comments,

Steve
