am a stockbroker and shareholder of a brokerage,here in the small
Philippine stock exchange. with only active stock brokerage.
since we can't make a decent living with customers(small market and less
than 2% population invest/trade the market),our in house traders mostly
daytraded of the almost 10,all are profitable daytrading having their
own trading terminals. the top one made 3-5,000 dollars net profit 7
days in a row as of now.
no,we are not selling anything or ever do eaching (the hassle ain't
worth it),no we are not looking for customers,as our traders are
abandoning them as a matter of fact to trade on their own)anything am
just sharing real actual things i see everyday.. also these are not
clients but all in house traders trading company account where each day
the brokerage "take" 1/3 of their daily profits.
from my point of view (and personal interest),the only value to enhance
our company is some big guy buying us out as a proprietary trading team
(haha...just a dream fantasy) nothing else (because am a
stockholder,haha)
but our daily volume is in the top 10% of the exchange..funny thing
is...they make less than 1% everyday..example they buy $300,000,they
sold $302,000,their only saving grace daily is they control their losses
to minimal as possible as in to fluctuations,am just sharing this
because i have seen it is possible and maybe i see the 3% daytrading
winners everyday with my very eyes.yes..it is possible and yes..not
everyone can do it or has the stomach for it. Even as owner.my personal
daily volume is less than 5% of our biggest daytrader,because am just
comfy with my own size (got smaller balls..haha)as well as psychological
tolerance for daytrading,made money 7 out of 10 days,the "secret" of
daytrading is.....
"keep your losses small"..nothing else...period
