A year ago I announce that I had purchased a system that I believed had
a good chance of working. I have periodically
reported the results from that system to this group. I started trading
the system on Feb. 24, 1999 so now I have the results for a
year. The system so impressed me that I started a second and third
account on August 28, 1999 and January 3, 2000
respectively.

Here are the results through 2/23/00.

Account % Increase
2/24/99
89.6
8/28/99
17.6
1/3/00
15.2

You will note that the gain in the 8/28 account is only slightly better
than that of the 1/3/00 account. That is because the 8/28
account started at the worst possible time and suffered through a drawdown
of approximately 19%.

The system is not for those who want a lot of action. At times it can
be very boring and drawdowns as mentioned above do
occur.

The system is Trend Reflection (trendreflection.com).

I am posting this information because I said I would and because some
in this group have expressed an interest in mechanical
systems. I sincerely hope that this posting does not create the acrimony
that has been seen at times. My purpose is to share
something that seems to work and we all know finding such a vehicle
is difficult.

Disclosure:
I do not work for Trend Reflection. I am a broker (31 years experience)
who trades this system personally, for my wife and
for several clients. Two of the clients were referred to me by Trend
Reflection. The software is easy to use so anyone with five
minutes a day can manage the trades. The accounts referenced above
started with $35,000 although Trend Reflection has a
system for smaller accounts. Commissions and fees have been deducted.

I trade mostly stocks ( day trade to short term) and have used Charles Schwab since 1986. I am not satisfied with their response time or fee structure. Has anyone recently worked thru a stock broker selection? E*Trade, Datek, DLJ Direct, Ameritrade, Quick & Reilly, Web Street.

Thanks for your comments,

Steve
