No not really. Simply because indexes (WEBS) and options all trade real time
during our trading day,..and are priced IN ANTICIPATION of where overseas
markets will open when trading begins. The only reason the methodolgy I use
works is due to the screwy way open ended mutual funds are priced. An
International mutual fund owning SHARES TRADED ON OVERSEAS MARKETS (not ADR's
which trade in NY) will price those overseas shares, AT 4pm EST in NY, based
on the earlier day's close for that foreign market. Therefore you can buy
(or sell) the earlier day's close in that overseas market knowing full well
what to expect the next trading day when that market reopens. Again...a
strategy that to my knowledge can only be applied to International type
mutual funds.
