<DIV><FONT size=2>Windows 2000&nbsp;comes with good news and bad news. First the
good news: it is more stable and the server edition serves significantly faster
than NT did. Also once again there are more drivers included.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>The bad news is that not every application that runs in 98
will run in 2000. Microsoft has a program on their website that will inspect
your programs and tell you of potential incompatibilities prior to upgrading. I
hear AOL is not compatible, (yet). It is my understanding that if a program runs
under NT it will run under 2000. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>My advice would be to unless you have an NT server, wait for
the dust to settle before upgrading machines that are currently working. It
offers little in functional improvements, and only slight speed improvements
over 98.</FONT></DIV></BODY></HTML>
