A Forbes article a while back reviewed the Ken Roberts machine. As I recall,
his marketing machine has sold about 150,000 copies @ about $200 per each,
totaling $30,000,000 in revenues (yes that is 30 million). Not a bad return
for someone whose methods are flaky at best. Makes you wonder why anyone
would want to trade for a living...

Like Many others, A friend on mine had got his material. Most of the stuff
are basic and can be found in most of the books out on the market today.
What I tried to caution him about was that, even though these patterns are
valid patterns to trade from, there was no reference to risk management and
understanding the volatility of that particular commodity. I think at that
time he was showing me a chart of soybeans when the daily range was about a
thousand dollars.I havent even looked at a soybean chart lately but im sure
its still pretty volatile. Anyway in the following months my friend had
continued to recieve offers from Ken Roberts to subscribe to this, and
purchase that. Im sure what he teaches has some validity but you still need
to have a good understanding of what you are doing before you jump in head
first.
