Been in that movie myself with First American. It is a phase of wanting
someone to tell us what to do. High commissions are not the right thing.
Committing assets to a proposition you don't understand is not the right
thing. Fool me once, shame on them, fool me twice, shame on me. Consider it
a cheap lesson if you never repeat it.
Recommend: Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom by Tharp for a wake-up, and
Against the Gods by Bernstein for some straight talk. Most of what you read
and hear about this business is doo-doo.
