[RT] RE: GEN: zonealarm

I tried ZA (even though I have a supposedly secure computer according to
the tests I have run). However, ZA kept blocking my auto mail
downloading via Outlook 2000. I sent a question on how to deal with
this problem and the associated message about a week ago. Still no
reply to date. Good support is always difficult to find...

I read up on inet insecurity this weekend and probed the system with the
utility at grc.com. After reading all the stuff I reinstalled ZoneAlarm
to
try it again. I have not had any crashes and the probe utility claims
that I
have a completely stealth computer that cannot be seen by scanners. It
is
supposed to stop emailed trojans also. [NO, NO, NO, I don't even want to
go
THERE] The person who runs the probe site recommends ZA as the best
currently available. He is writing his own firewall now.

The moviemaker side of me can't help seeing a horribly fascinating
script
here. You know, all our trading accounts gone in a few minutes, that
sort of
thing.

Hope the markets open your way.
