  -vs- deep bids</DIV>
  <DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>One of the stocks I like to trade is&nbsp;excite@xxxx (ATHM).&nbsp; It
usually moves about 2-3 points a day.&nbsp; But I'm seeing something different
right now and I wanted some help interpreting&nbsp;it.</DIV>
  <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>It has pulled into a tight range and volume is drying
  up.&nbsp; So I'm looking for a bottom.&nbsp; But I am a trend trader looking
for a point.&nbsp; And the trend still says "going down!"&nbsp; So when I get
all my ducks in a row (MACD's and MA's&nbsp;all pointed down), I enter a short
  trade.&nbsp; </FONT></DIV>
  <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>What is unusual is the massive amount of support on the
bid side.&nbsp; Despite the price dribbling down, there were tons of
buyers.</FONT>&nbsp;Yesterday I took the trade and the price broke down and I
  made a half.</DIV>
  <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>I tried the same thing today, but the price never really broke down and I
got out at my entry price.</DIV>
  <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>The unusual part is that despite a&nbsp;steady downtrend, the bidders
were lined up 30,000 shares deep every quarter.&nbsp; There were still enough
sellers to make the price keep slowly moving down, but why all the
buyers?&nbsp; Do they smell a bottom or is it that money managers are trying
to move so much cash into techs?&nbsp; I heard today there were record mutual
fund cash inflows this month.&nbsp; Is anybody else seeing this kind of
unusual buying in a downtrend? Am I missing something obvious?</DIV>

I got a referal from one of RT's members about Best Direct.
Has anyone else had experience with their online order package and
the phone service if the internet connection goes awry?
