Speaking of LTCM, I had the Nova program "Trillion Dollar Bet" on PBS
bookmarked in my PIM for Tuesday evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's
really a classic tale of Nobel economists who believe in the random walk
and believe they've found the perfect hedge vs. streetwise traders who
believe in controlling losses and making money. It repeats the evening
of 12Feb ... I highly recommend it.
