IB who clears through a good firm (not a well known firm necessarily, a good
one), like a Refco, and is a good enough size they know the floor traders and
can get things done. The large supermarket firms all are terrible. I am not a
broker and have no axe to grind for one firm over another. But I can say I
have dealt with my broker for 15 years and they would get someone on the
phone and tell me if I am filled or not.
