<<Peter,

If NP has a tool to allow you to find the number of calendar days between
two bars. Do that for on a bar before and after y2k? If the software is y2k
compliant then you should get the correct result otherwise you get incorrect
results.>>

Clement,

Thanks for this. I'm not actually interested if Nature's Pulse is completely
Y2K compliant. All I'm interested in is if the functions of the program I
use are Y2K happy. They seem to be at the moment.

I had to look up how to count days on Nature's Pulse. It's not a feature I
use, since days are "static" time periods. I much prefer to measure
distances between "pivot days", and expect any effect in the future to be
some Fibonacci variable of the distance between the pivots. Oversimplified,
but counting days is not my thing. By the way the program did correctly
count days before and after 1/1/2000 and across the date also.

As to the suggestion by some of getting Kasanjian to apply a fix for those
areas of the program that fail to work, I expect you'll have little luck in
this endeavor.

I was sent a copy of an email to a Nature's Pulse user from a "presumed"
employee of Kasanjian. The email was in response to a query about Y2K
compatibility, and in part reads as follows:

""Unfortunately, NP does have some problems with the holiday dates into
2000.
There is currently no patch, and probably won't be. Unfortunately, our more
recent research has shown that there does not seem to be any real validity
to Fibonacci relationships in the markets. This is why we developed
PatternSmasher. If our research is correct, then PatternSmasher is a far
superior program, as it does not rely on these "magic" ratios.

-Hyrum""
I have never spoken to this Hyrum fellow, but to state there are no
Fibonacci relationships within the markets runs counter to the results I
"magically" receive. Whether this fellow actually believes this or not, the
policy at Kasanjian these days clearly seems to be to push Pattern Smasher,
and leave Nature's Pulse behind. I can't blame them. Business is business,
it's just unfortunate that some capabilities of this is marvelous program
may be left unusable.
Cheers.
Peter
