There is a software product named DynaStore that supplies data, real-time from various sources to Omega Research's Tradestation 4 & 2000i, or Metastock Pro 6.52 & 7.0. It works as a software emulator of DBC Signal data feed.

Anybody using it? Is it worthwhile?

================================================================

Dynastore works as a software emulator of DBC Signal data feed. There are 2 modes of the emulation: Serial and TCP/IP modes. The first mode is used for TradeStation 4 connection, and the second one for TradeStation 2000i/MetaStock connection.
All versions of Dynastore can work in both modes.

When working with Omega TradeStation 4, DynaStore operates as a software emulator of a Signal Receiver box.
The program converts the quotes received from the data feed software (dependent on your version) into the Signal format and sends them to the serial port chosen by the user (for example, COM2). This port must be connected to another serial port on the same computer (if you're using the Omega Data Server on this PC) or at another computer (if you are running Omega at another PC) by a null-modem serial cable (lap-link cable). The Omega Data Server for Signal receives these quotes from DynaStore as if they were sent by the original receiver box so you can use all of your TradeStation features. If your computer has 2 free serial ports (not occupied by the mouse or modem) then you can use one PC. DynaStore will transmit the quotes out one port and the Omega Server will receive them into another one.....[skip]....

When working with Omega TradeStation 2000i, Equis MetaStock Pro RT 6.52 / 7.0 or other DBC-compatible software, DynaStore operates as a software emulator of the DBC Data Manager (winros). The program runs the TCP/IP daemon which receives the connections from other programs and serves these programs in DBC Data Manager's manner. When the quote is received from the data feed software, DynaStore converts it into the DBC format and sends it to the programs connected to the daemon. DynaStore is limited to serve not more than 8 programs simultaneously. All client programs must reside on the same machine as DynaStore.
The Omega Global Server and other programs receive the quotes from DynaStore as if they were sent by the original Data Manager so you can use all of your TradeStation features. IMPORTANT: You do not need any serial cables and free serial ports to work in this mode. You need only a TCP/IP network stack installed on your PC. You can't use more than one computer in this configuration. If you are connecting to the Internet, you have the necessary TCP/IP stack already installed.
