[RT] RE: STKS charting software

Although I have no love for Omega Research, I found SuperCharts versions 3 &
4 very intuitive and easy to use right out of the box. Easy Language is a
cinch to learn, though it has its limitations in SC (no Power Editor!).
This might be a good program to start with.

If you've had some programming experience, especially if you've ever used
PASCAL, then I'd suggest Ensign Windows. It's more stable, more versatile
and far more elegant (IMHO) than the Omega stuff. Also, Ensign handles
intraday data extremely well, which is not even an option with SC EOD.
Actually, it's probably worth a try anyway, because you can download a free
30-day trial version of Ensign at www.ensignsoftware.com

No connection with Ensign Software other than very satisfied customer.

Hope this helps,

Jeff Kingery

For Stocks only what is the most useful Charting software I need.? Currently
have Get TC2000 Elwave and metastock eod.... Omega Has structured their
Prices differently TS 4.0 was 3000 now a few hundred for 12 monthes
Prosuite
2000i is more but for what and Supercharts is the most for eod at400/year.
I know some of you sre Supercharts fans is this the cadillac......Should
telescan TIP be considered at 600 /year plus 50 (to me) usually 250 for
program . A few bucks is not the issue. The functionallity ,ease of use
,learning curve are most impoortant. Does any one have stong feelings one
subject Your 2 cents appreciated . Tom Vaughan
