As a stockbroker, 3 years ago (summer of 97)I met with my cousin Linda and
her husband (in their early forties with two kids under 10). I was trying
to get them to take some money out of CD's where they kept most of it into
conservation growth equity funds. Linda claimed she knew nothing about
money but the stock market sounded too risky for her. She didn't even want
to me to explain to her. "It sounds too risky" is all she kept saying.
Well, I just got off the phone with dear cousin Linda. She is now a stock
trader and was giving me her picks of the day (AOL and NVLS).
