I wrote a trading system that uses two data inputs (both using the same
symbol on the chart I set up in the single chart in my workspace), one for
the daily bars, and the other for the weekly bars. In the code I reference
an indicator that refers to 'close of data2'. I scan all the stock
symbols using the Workplace Assistant, and it puts the trades that qualify
in the workplace assistant window.
After reviewing the results, it seems that the symbol for data2 is not
changing (cycling) as is the symbol for data1.
Does anyone have any clues here ?
Either it is:
1) user error, this thing does really cycle both the data1 and data2 with
the same symbols, and the indicator is screwed-up -- which I do not think
is the case.
2) it was meant to work this way, not changing the second symbol.
3) there is a bug.
Also, does anyone have any ideas on how to work around this ?
I tried to contact Omega Technical Support, and here is how that horrible
experience went:
Spent 20 minutes on hold, listening to a recording telling me how important
my call was, and how they are committed to serving each person on hold as
quickly as possible (Bill Cruz, try adding more 'trained' tech support
folks, and incoming phone lines.)
When I finally got an answer, the tech sounded very inexperienced with the
product, even the basic stuff, like what the workplace asst was. He put me
on hold, and came back, asked me to repeat the problem.
Put me on hold again, and after 10 minutes, I just hang up.
Help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
James
