Just sent this to the Omega list a few minutes before I read your
post:
If you want a complete test of your PC's Y2K-readiness, see
http://www.winmag.com/library/1999/0101/fea0061.htm, and in
particular http://www.winmag.com/library/1999/0101/fea0061b.htm . If
your system passes that test, your PC is Y2K-safe.
And in case anyone is wondering, the "Change Regional Settings" "fix"
that is going around does NOT fix your PC's Y2K ability. It only
changes the way that Windows *displays* dates.
