I downloaded and archived all of the relevant patches for my SC4, so I was
surprised to look in my archives and not find a Build 4 patch file. Then I
checked my SC4 CD and it says Version 4, Build 6. Since you are unable to
find a B4 file in the Omega archives, my best guess is that the only way you
are going to be able to upgrade to the Y2K compatible B8 is to obtain a
replacement CD from Omega which contains B4 or later - this is probably why
you are getting the run around! You might try customer service or try
placing a call directly to Bill or Ralph (said factiously). If you are
unable to resolve the problem quickly, I recommend that you resort to
written correspondence via certified mail.
