NW: I think that in the battlefield of market trading, the smartest people will
cancel each other out.
Most of these people are too close to the forest to see the trees and are the
last to recognize what is really happening. Only a few can win at the "I'm
smarter than you" game. In contrast, anyone can win who takes the position, "I
am an idiot, don't know anything, my next trade will be wrong so what am I gonna
do about it to turn this into a profitable strategy?" Speaking of total
ignorance, my 7 year old son
decided to draw a graph for me on Feb. 24, 1999 for what the stock market would
do for the rest of 1999. He doesn't watch the market, CNBC, or subscribe to the
Cafe Metropole. etc. He did it on a whim because he saw me trying to do
something similar. So far his graph has been very accurate, having nailed the
top in July. He has a bottom due for November. We will see if this is correct.
How do you explain this to the geniuses at the Cafe?
Bottomline, too much info just leads to analysis paralysis. Turn off the
noise and you may be able to tap into the global mass subconscience which
ultimately is what rules the tides in the affairs of mankind.
