But we do!!! President Clinton says we do and I figure that having never
told the truth in his adult life, he is *way* past due to slip up and do it
just once.

How many people in this country actually know that there is NO social
security fund? Nada ... nothing.. all spent the instant it hits the
treasury. After the immediate ss payments are sent out, the remainder is
spent for general obligations. Guess where the "surplus" is coming from.
There is even more money coming in from SS payments and get this.... if we
would "save it" for the future SS needs, we would simply retire some of the
debt with it. But... No, we will not want to do that, we will want to buy
votes!

There was a time when all OUR social security money that WE pay in, could
have been invested rather than spent. Any guess where we would be with the
future of SS had we done that? Imagine collecting interest for all these
years rather than paying it. Anyone think they want the U.S. government
in charge of their health care?

Bob
