Re: Mini/SP discrepancy

Trade information for the S&P is hand-entered to the computers after the
trade is completed. Trade information for the E-Mini is fully electronic
end-to-end. On all of the many quote services I have used and/or checked
including satellite, cable and internet, quotes on the E-Mini have
consistently led quotes on the S&P by 2 or more seconds. It is therefore
difficult to imagine watching quotes on the S&P (no matter how fast the
feed) and beating anyone watching E-Mini quotes.

Issues of speed aside, there is no way to know if the spike in the E-Mini is
real or fake until the spike has reversed in the E-Mini or the S&P has
confirmed by blowing through the same price levels. It would seem that in
the later event the very purpose of using stops would be defeated.
