NW: It is an aspect via Declination which is how far north or south the
planets are relative to the Earth's equator. You must know that in December
the Sun at Noon the Sun is low in the sky? It is at its maximum Southern
Declination. At the Summer Soltice when the Sun at Noon is leaning to the
North, it is at its Max. Nothern Declination. Now, if you have two bodies at
the same Declination that is called a Parallel. If you have two bodies at
opposite Declination, i.e. same degree South vs. same degree North,
then that is called Contra-Parallel. These are analagous to conjunctions and
oppositions in Longitude.

NW: You could learn it all in 6 months to a year. You just have to be able
to commit to studying about
one hour per day, 4-5 days per week. After awhile, it will become a part of
your thought processes and you will be thinking Astrologically while driving
your car etc.

NW: I respect Barrys work. Vedic is like another language. Does it matter
whether you study Physics in Russian or English? If there is any science
underlying Astrologer, then the best practitioners should arrive at the same
correct answers regardless of their system, language, or methodology.
