The simulations said that for 1/2 of year you bought on new and
sold on full and the other half you reversed this procedure.
The study was purely acedemic and simply traded on new and full
moon days. Tests showed that it was probably better to trade a
couple of days after new/full.
The conclusions were conclusive that there was a moon effect. The
fact is that in this market you were a lot better going long and
exiting -- no shorts.
Examine the following and you will see that all things are NOT equal
and some do better on new than full.
