Some idiot math question. This actually gets to the heart of number
theory, an area of active research in pure mathematics (e.g. Fermat's Last
Theorem). I'm not a mathematician but I'd say no. 2 times 3 equals 2 added
to itself two more times but 2 times 3.1417? Well what does it mean to do
something .1417 times. Either you do it or you don't. A similar example is
factorials denoted N! If N equals say 5 then N!= 1 X 2 X 3 X 4 X 5, simple
yes? But if N equals say 5.5 well then you can't do the above. You have to
use the Gamma function, which can only be derived using advanced calculus!
