In a hugely liquid market like the T-Bonds, it is important to use stops,
but not in the market. The measured tread on the one hand and the
potential extreme range on the other allows this - provided you have good
communications with your broker and you are only in the market at the right
times. That said, the placement of stops, so far as my experience goes, is
behind res/sup lines. The market is too large for locals to run stops past
these and, as a generality, if the market does breach these, it is changing
direction.
This may sound very simple. It is. But it works fine on the bonds, when
working within a complete environmental structure, as dictated by the
market.
