There is a gif of a Gann Box for the SnP at
http://www.erols.com/cnedgo/data1/archive/gannbox.gif
There are a couple of features of this figure that are interesting to
note:
1. The top of the Gann box was determined by the low on Oct 9, 1998. As
shown in the gif, the top of the box provided significant resistance
from the end of December to the end of February. Then after the
resistance level at the top of the Gann box gave way it provided a
support level for
the next four months.
2. The gann lines, defined by the low on Oct 9, 1998, exhibit well
defined support resistance characteristics over extended periods of time
and permit estimates of trading ranges.
3. Intersections at the 90 degree points provide price inflections. A
good example of this was the prior Gann Box where the 180 degree point
coincided with the SnP high for 1998.
Neat stuff!
