Tom Alexander's email address is: gta3@xxxxxxxxxxxxx and his ph # is:
800-373-5314.
He's been a SP daytrader since '87, I believe. He's a fully licensed
futures broker and is an IB for Summit Management, a subsidiary of REFCO
the largest clearing firm in the industry. He uses the IB Workstation
(Timberhill Technology) for all mkts supported by electronic order entry
and will be upgrading soon to even more advanced order entry technology
that will allow electronic order entry to ALL mkts. His emini rates are
under $10 w/ generous margin requirements. Obviously, a personal
relationship allows him to follow your trading style and offer you
better-than-industry requirements.
He uses the IB WS (as I do) so if you experience a glitch & need
immediate execution all you need to do is speed dial to him & he'll help
you w/ your position. There is also an off-floor desk as an additional
backup. It is part of Summit's operation, I believe. Timberhill has
their own tech support staff (minimal) also.
You can expect full flexibility in order entry and management: limit
orders, market orders, and stops are the most commonly used in the
emini. Fills are typically returned in a few seconds. Your own audit
trail is exportable to Word for recordkeeping purposes. Nightly equity
runs are sent via email if you desire.
Personally, having tried several other interfaces and order systems I'm
satisfied that (for now) Timberhill's the most reliable, fastest, and
accurate (eg, you get bid/ask/last prices onscreen) and typically leads
my BMI satellite by seconds. Only Quote.com datafeed comes close.
I suggest you call Tom and discuss your requirements to see if you feel
he'd be a good fit. Personally, having traded the sp/emini for a few yrs
has taught me the value of a dedicated, trustworthy, motivated broker.
I'm not interested in anyone else. He's that good. Write me again if you
have any other questions.
