<DIV> Hi RT's,</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Recently a friend was
discussing option trading and asked if the premium of an option can ever be
greater than the value of the underlying. My immediate answer was no,
because of the leverage involved an option will always sell for a fraction of
the underlying. He replied "But what about the time value?"</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> This started me thinking. Can
there ever be an option deep enough in the money, with enough time value
that the option's premium is greater than the value of the underlying? I
suspect it might happen with Leaps, possibly stock options, but never with
options on futures.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Perhaps the good Dr. OEX or other
RTer can answer this.</DIV>

Good luck and good trading,</DIV>

I totally agree. At the risk of getting the administration mad at me I'd like
to point out a few things about astrology. The purpose of this post (along
with educating the group) is to speak for the many frustrated real
astrologers when they see people draw conclusions based on sun signs alone.
That is not how it is supposed to work.
I've put the rulership or meaning of terms in parenthesis so non astrologers
can follow along.
My sun sign is in Cancer and Cancer rules, commodities. My moon is in Leo
which rules, games, gambling, and risk taking. This in itself does not make a
commodity trader, otherwise Ringo would be a trader instead of a famous
drummer. The birth chart with all the planets and signs must be viewed as a
whole. Interpeting the chart is more of an art, not a science, if it is
anything at all. There must be many indications in the same chart to indicate
an inclination.
I also have Cancer(commmodities) ruling my 10th house(career) and the
moon(commodities) in my tenth house(career). Uranus ruler of my 5th
house(games, gambling, risk) in my 10th house(career), conjunct(within 10
degrees)my moon,ruler of my 10th house (career).
My Sun trine(120 degrees) Saturn, according to "Planets in Aspect" by Robert
Pelletier might lead to market speculation. Pluto conjunct(2 degrees) Jupiter
according to Pelletier "may lead to recognition in fields such as sports,
research and exploration, or even gambling in which the risks are high and
the dangers tantalizing". ( I used to race motorcycles)
Could you look at the chart of Elvis and say this is the King of Rock and
Roll? No.
but the desire to sing is indicated.
The above isn't meant to prove anything and if someone thinks astrology is a
bunch of b.s. that's o.k. Somtimes I also think it is b.s. A sun sign survey
can be fun it just shouldn't be misunderstood as an accurate test of
astrology. I just think astrology is a fascinating subject to play around
with even though I havn't done so in 15 years.
If any trader/astrologers out there have natal charts on any famous traders
could you please e-mail the signs and numbers to me privately. It would be
fun to see a chart of say Tom Baldwin, Linda Raschke, or the late
Charlie D' .
