RT's, sorry for the off-topic post, and I apologize if you've already
seen this on the Omega list, but I'm desperate and haven't found help
anywhere else.
I ran into some problems with my BMI cable feed this morning. I
think it may have been caused by my PC's clock somehow getting set to
the year 2007 (!?). While trying to isolate the problem I installed
BMI's MarketCenter program. After rebooting, I discovered COM1
(which talks to the BMI box) was missing. Now I can't figure out how
to recreate COM1 to see if the fixed system time has solved the
problem.
I've created COM1, and set it to every available IRQ, with no luck.
The Omega Server can't talk to the box, and I'm not getting any data.
I'm on NT4.0, SP4. Can anyone offer some advice?? (Please respond
privately since the rest of the list probably doesn't need to hear
the gory details.)
Thanks,
Gary
