CYCLETRADER 5.0 BETA, 16 BIT VERSION (
32 BIT NOT AVAILABLE YET )

ELAPSED TESTING PERIOD: 4 weeks

MAIN INDICATORS:

Cycle Analysis & Timing Band Calculators, Detrended Moving
Average and Cycle
H/L, Congestion Bands, Divergence, Exponential Moving
Average, Parabolic
Stops, Redline, RSI, Stochastic, Redline, RSI &
Stochastic Trade Entries,
Automated Timing Bands, & Volatility
Indicator.

KEY NOTES:

This version contains significantly less individual cyclical
measurement
tools as indicators. Instead, they have been been incorporated
into the new
Cycle Analysis indicators . Another unique feature of 5.0 is its
Knowledge
Database generation which is built by running the Cycle Analysis
indicators
mentioned below. It is from this database that all cycle inputs
are read
into the individual indicators. Much needed improvement. You can
determine

which type of cycle length to trade with. The database will
also allow the

trader to view the statistical output, the validity, and
accuracy of the data in the database.
This should help traders determine the
best time frame to trade a particular
market.

Cycle Analyst - Calculates the recent, dominant
and long term cycle
lengths

for each market.

Set Cycle - Sets the three cycle lengths for timing
band calculation.

Set Time Bands - Automatically calculates the
timing bands for the
various

cycle lengths.

Once these analytical tools are set up, your initial database
will have been
created. Now you can begin adding the other indicators to your
charts. As
you add your indicators, the database will supply the
necessary cycle
length input for each indicator. Again, you determine
which cycle length to
trade by varying the input in each indicator (Recent,
Dominant or Long Term).

Probably the most wanted and desirable indicator for
existing users are the
Automated Timing Bands. Well, they are here, and they
work REALLY well. All
one needs to do is click on the Expert Commentary
symbol and then click on
the last cycle low. There you have it. All within
seconds. They are updated using the
information stored in the database. Once
again, you can determine which
cycle length and whether to use a peak or
median occurrence.

The code used in the timing band indicators is extremely long
and complex to acheive
this automation. Therefore the expert commentary will not generate
dates and times of
the projected cycle highs or lows in the 16 bit version.
To compensate for this limitation, a
early warning alert was incorporated
into the timing band indicator. The
alert allows you to be notified 1,2,3 or
more bars before or after the peak
or median occurrence. This is a great
feature. I personally find it better
than specific dates and times. The
Expert Commentary dates and times will be
generated in the 32 bit version for
TradeStation 5.0 since there is no 64kb
limitation.

The Parabolic stops have been upgraded as well. Not only do
you have the
existing one point exit indicator, but a multiple exit parabolic
stop
indicator as well. This is a welcomed indicator for those who
trade multiple
contracts. Now you can exit from multiple contracts gradually
as you work through the cycle.

This provides an important money management tool to
CycleTrader.
The beta test version requires manual entries to determine
the exits.

The defaults settingswork fairly well. It is my understanding that a automated

version is in development. They will probably work similar to
the automated timing bands. WHO HA !

The new set of Divergence indicators are interesting too. They
have been
enhanced to plot and alert you when a divergence has occurred. No
more interpretating an indicator.

This should help new traders with the interpretation of this
indicator.

A Volatility indicator has been added for those who look
at market
volatility. This indicator can be plotted in numerous
ways to fit
individual preferences. Again, to help identify turning
points in the
market. The other indicators, from what I
can tell, are pretty much the same as in the

previous version and work with the same ease.

PAPER & REAL TRADING RESULTS:

After spending the fews week testing and reviewing the
indicators, I decided to take

a few paper trades for the next few days. It
appeared the indicators were working well

and with the same high degree of accuracy experienced in CT
4.0. The next step was

to take real trades. Well, the results were profitable and
in line with my past trades

with CT 4.0. However, what a difference the automated timing
bands made. WOW !!

They really allowed me to focus MORE on trading and not on
entering dates and time to update

the indicators all the
time. Trading made easier. Thanks Bob.

SUMMARY:

Over the past four weeks of testing, I found only a few minor
errors, all of
which have been corrected and retested with complete
satisfaction.

All in all, I feel the program is simplier and much more user
friendly than the previous versions.

The indicators are all adjustable so they can be fine tuned
to the markets you trade.

I have not received any written documentation, so I cannot
comment on it. The
initial setup was effortless and easy to do. There is
one great feature
coming with CycleTrader 5.0 that is outstanding for new
users and maybe
existing users. Screen Cams. This is a full multimedia
instruction manual
that shows you how to setup and use each indicator.
SUPERB.

It is my belief (not speaking for the developer) that a
release date should be near.
