Sorry to crosspost this complaint to three lists, but... :-)
Folks, many MANY people read multiple trading lists. Personally I
follow the Omega list, RealTraders, the Code list, and others. And
it drives me a little batty when I see the SAME post (and all
replies) TWO or THREE TIMES. Especially when the message really
doesn't match the charter of most of the lists it's posted to. This
seems to be happening a LOT lately.
It's very seldom necessary or appropriate to post your messages to
multiple lists. Each of the three lists I mentioned has a fairly
clear charter, and you can choose ONE list that is most appropriate
for your question. If your post is specifically about (or related
to) Omega software, TS2000, TS4, SC, etc, then it belongs on the
Omega list. If it's specifically a coding-related question, it
belongs on the Omega list or the Code list. (But NOT both!!) If
it's a general trading post, e.g. discussing general trading
strategies or market conditions, etc, then RealTraders is usually a
good match.
These are just guidelines, not hard-and-fast rules, but please do
pick ONE list for your posts. If you post to one list and don't get
a suitable answer, THEN try posting to a different list. Please
don't make hundreds or even thousands of people download and
read/delete/ignore a bunch of unnecessary copies!
And please don't subject those thousands of people to any more
multiple posts than I already have. :-) If you have a comment,
please respond directly to me, or at least to only one list.
