I learned about Gann from a booklet I received as a bonus to my subscription
to Past Present Futures put out by James Flanagan. On page 22 of the book
HOW TO PROFIT FROM MAJOR MOVES IN FUTURES he shows a chart where the daily
S&P's Retraced 30 points three times to a top in 1987 just before the crash.
My next exposure to MEASURED MOVES came when I ordered George Angell's
EXCELLENT course Market symmetry for 99.00 it really opened my eyes to how
the S&P's on some day have perfect symmetry. My most recent exposure to
market symmetry is even higher than Gann's with MR. William Erman's,
Ermanometry.Check out the recent article in Technical Analysis of Stocks and
Commodities. His web site is www.ermanometry.com Hope this helps and Happy
trading.
