Tom DeMark was highly respected as an analyst at Tudor. I used to work
with a couple of traders that had worked at Tudor too, and they were
happy to pay Aspen Research extra so that they could have access to the
DeMark indicators with all their bells and whistles. That is not to say
that DeMark was a great trader. But, a lot of his stuff does seem to
work, at least according to these guys.

To just dismiss somebody because they are not a good trader is wrong
headed. There are many analysts out there that do not have the emotional
make-up to be good traders, but can pick market turns as well or better
than any trader. Maybe they use indicators. Maybe they use price
patterns. They just don't have what it takes to trade. But, by selling
an indicator, they are making a living.

I am not defending people who sell trash. I only know DeMark's first
book and the people that worked with him at Tudor. But, as an analyst
who is much better as an analyst than as a trader, I think you all
should give Tom DeMark the benefit of the doubt.
