Having been the route of evaluating internet based trading platforms, I
would strongly advise you to pick your trading software before picking your
feed. If the software doesn't do the job then the feed won't matter. As I
remember from my research last year, the software for PCQuote was a bit
limited and I couldn't find anything with which I was comfortable and I
wanted no part of DBC. I ended up going with DTN/Ensign via satellite but
ultimately had to switch to internet when I lost use of both satellite and
cable feeds. I use Ensign www.ensignsoftware.com with Signal OnLine. The
Ensign software and support is first rate. The SOL data feed is acceptable
and the customer service is about as bad as it gets. I would switch to
another feed in a heartbeat but I won't give up my software. There are now a
large number of real-time platforms which are internet compatible and I'd
recommend kicking tires under a free trial or money back guarantee.
