I run dual 17" monitors under WinNT4 using a pair of 8meg Matrox Millennium
PCI cards I purchased on ebay for $59 each. I didn't have to screw around
with IRQ's - just plug in cards and go. Works flawlessly, however the
multi-monitor support (up to 4) is implemented in the Matrox driver and not
NT so you can't do this with just any cards. NT also supports the single
cards which provide multi-monitor support however those cards are not
inexpensive.
