    These nine sectors combined include all stocks in the S&P 500, which
trades as the original SPDR (SPY).

    The industry SPDRs offer features many investors find attractive:

1. they can be purchased like any other stock and SHORTED without waiting
on a downtick

2. their expenses ratios, set at 0.65% , are lower than those of virtually
all industry-sector funds;

3. each industry SPDR, virtually unmanaged, is invested in its industry's
stocks in proportion to their relative sizes within the industry;

4. SPDRs levy no investment minimums; and

5. many industry-sector funds, including Fidelity's, charge loads of 3% or
more. Commissions to buy stocks are much lower.
