No he is not. He is asking a reasonable question and almost everybody
is giving him a bad time. He wasn't bragging or making light of
anybody. He didn't call anyone stupid. He asked a simple question. Is
it that easy or did I just get lucky? I have seen every new internet
stock open and jump $80 to $100 and I didn't have one of them. It is
not my trading style. I saw the same thing with the Aerospace stocks,
only not as crazy. It would not have been hard to make $100,000 a day if
you could have gotten in on these IPO's. Many of them came down and
allowed one to get in. How many of you did buy into the frenzy? If you
didn't and he did, give him congratulations for the good fortune to have
gone ahead and done what our experienced heads said, don't get involved.
Many professional traders have had no part of the madness and some got
burned really bad shorting the obviously overvalued. When you have no
wife, no kids, no mortgage and no worries you can do a lot of things.
As far as parents allowing him to trade, he is not the first one and
probably won't be the last. There is a 14 year old I know that is doing
very well and his goal is to be an investment banker. It amazed me when
he told me what he wanted to be. So let the guy alone and be pleased
that you aren't on the other side of his trades. Have a good holiday.
Ira.
