I am wondering if this is posted as a metaphor for what to
watch for in trading.
I take no position on whether this story is true, but I
suggest some considerations of reactions -- and what they
may reflect on trading.
"This cannot happen -- no parent would allow trading by a
minor" -- can one really speak for millions of parents and
say what not one in a million would do? Would such
predispositions affect how we look at what is happening?
This cannot have happened -- my data shows no such price.
But other data shows such price. That can be a frightening
thought. What data history can we rely on?
And what investment do people have in denying this? In what
way are you threatened by the possibility it may have
happened? Do you have an emotional investment in that
denial? Why?
in what way will your world be changed if he does or doesn't
furnish statements? why?
I don't know how true this is. I don't care (well, I'd like
to know how he did it, but I don't know whether hell reveal
it, and I sure don't know how statements would reveal it --
seems like more interest in the truth of his statements than
his method) but I think the reactions are interesting.
