Re: DISCOUNT BROKERS

Like everything else there are good discount brokers and there are some not
so good(meaning awful) discount brokers. Even the large discount brokers
have had negative posts here from time to time. Full service brokers are no
guarantee of good service either. IMHO no broker (alone) will make you into
a good trader but a bad broker can kill you.

I tried a brokerage called Vision in the early going and often I could not
even understand the people on the phone, some had such heavy accents that I
had to get them to repeat the order 4 to 5 times. Then I found out that the
Vision brokers clear their orders through Lind-Waldock. Why use Vision when
you could go through Lind-Waldock? If you have a broker that you really
like, stay with him/them. If your paying more than about $30 a round turn
you might want to find out what you're getting for the extra money.
