Mr. Bowers:

Thank you for your comments. I must agree with you that even in my EXTREMELY
short trading experience, I have been as yet unable to actually point to a
correlation between a specific fundamental event and it's corresponding
"technical" effect and indicator on any particlar market, price, or day. I
can nod knowingly AFTER the FACT, and make WISE comments that the surplus of
cocoa generated by a recent merger of two large commercial consumers may
have had an effect over the cocoa markets these last few days. Major
catastrophic World-Wide Events aside, I don't think there is a rational
scientific method of using any connection between "fundamental" and
"technicals" to predict market movemente in any manner that might be
useful to Trader like myself. The only "sure fire" guaranteed fundamental
information that I can think of that could be directly applied to trading a
specific time, place , price, and market, IN ADVANCE, would be INSIDER
INFORMATION, and that as we all know is ILLEGAL.

For myself, any deeper insight into a market's "fundamentals" will give me a
greater sense of "confidence" in trading a particular market, and might
therefore indirectly improve my trading "psychology". There is probably a
grey area whereby "fundamentals" do make their way into the "intuitive" side
of my decision making process. Even though I trade pretty mechanically,
there are inevitably moments where some kind of decision making process
occurs outside of my "System", and my intuition and insite based the
"fundamentals"might help me "pull the trigger" more confidently.

Thanks again for the input.
