You'd do well to get rid of LeoWeb. There's been a lot
of positive comments onPMB here in the last few weeks. If I were looking
for a brokerage that's where I'd be going.

Personally I use FTG. I've only made a handful of trades
with it in the last couple weeks, but so far have found it to be very
worthwhile. I've only traded the Spoos, but the fills are very quick,
sometimes in about 30 seconds (although there really hasn't been much volitility
in the market lately. We'll see how that figure holds when things heat up
again.)

The software is top-notch. It's incredibly nice having
to have any sort of order in any market parked and ready to go at the click of a
mouse when you want to send it and it does a great job of keeping track of your
trades. I tend to use a lot of stops at different price ranges for entry,
most of which never get hit, therefore making it easy to lose track of them, but
not so with the E-Futures program. At a glance you know the status and locations
of all your working orders whether one or two or 20.

Their system is a combination of CUBS, TimberHill, and
TURRETT, so being "down" really isn't an issue. If one should go down,
there's always another system to fall back on. In fact there was a thread
here last week about LewWeb (CUBS) being down, then much to others surprise PMBe
also was down for a short time. I was not trading that day but I checked
into the matter and found that FTG with their E-Futures had no problems and were
up all day.

They also provide a "check-out" service for an hour
and a half after the market closes in which they ask that you call the toll free
number and verify your trades with the desk. I found the importance of
this when the second day I traded with E-Futures a freakish accident occured
where one of my trades ended up in someone elses account. On that day I
had not verified my trades with the checkout desk. But fortunately without any
intervention from me they found the mistake on their own, and I receive a phone
call at 7 a.m. letting me know this happened and saying everything was now
fixed.

I also had the misfortune on Tuesday to not receive a fill on
an order I placed. So after about 10 minutes I messaged them thru the
software and still not getting any response I called their emergency
number. They admitted that for some reason the trade wasn't made on their
end, but because of the software keeping the transaction number and exact time
to the second that I sent the order they immediately filled the order and
adjusted my account to reflect the price the Spoos were trading at the time I
entered the order. Though it was a small loss for them ($100) they took
care of it very professionally.

I'll admit these last two incidents do give me some pause, as
I really haven't had many trades (I transferred from Lind-Waldock where there
was never a mistake in any trade I had ever made), but I'm keeping my fingers
crossed that they really are just isolated incidents. Maybe after all the
good luck I've had I'm due for some problems. But if the problems continue
I will report them here, and if they get to be a regular habit, well... there's
always PMB. But I'd really miss the E-Futures interface, it can get real
"habit forming" real quick.

If anyone's interested give them a call. They can
explain a whole lot better than I can about how their electonic order system
works than I can, or just have them send you an info packet. I will say
this though, they do want experience traders for customers, their system really
isn't designed for newbies.

Hi Ira,
Thanks for taking the time and effort to share a part of your
methodology and answering my question so completely. Good, useful
information like that helps many.
