BigCharts is pleased to announce 1-minute intraday stock and index charts. This new feature will give you a more detailed view of a symbol's intraday price movement. Each 1-minute bar on the chart is based on the individual tick data of the security being charted. For example, a stock may trade 20 times in a 1-minute period. BigCharts will analyze each of those transactions giving you an accurate view of the open, high, low and close for each minute of trading activity. And of course, BigCharts continues to offer 5-minute, 15-minute and 1-hour intraday charts which are created in the same manner described above.
Furthermore, we have changed the way our intraday charts appear on your screen. Each intraday chart now fills in progressively throughout the trading day. The old approach filled the entire chart based on the data available. The new approach, fills the blank portion of the chart in until the end of the trading day is reached, and gives you a better view of the intraday price movement by keeping the time scale of the chart constant. In addition, you can now view **10-day** intraday charts! In the past, BigCharts limited the historical intraday view to five trading days. This upgrade will help you view longer term intraday trends.
