Datek is a securities firm and member of the BSE and SIPC.
To accept customer funds on the securities side you must be
a SIPC member. Protection limits are outlined in current
SIPC literature, but they used to be 1/2 Million with no
more than 100,000 in cash at the firm. Many firms have more
and cash, remember, means cash..not money markets held at an
outside trust company.
