Steph - You may have missed my previous post regarding Genesis, but as the
gentlemen above mentioned, Genesis Data is unreliable, to put it
nicely. That is, multiple errors. Quality? Reliability? Honesty? No. Just Bad
Data.

I don't want to pitch additional sour grapes (some readers have heard this Genesis
story before, some have not). When an innocent party (like you) is looking for
information - then responders (like me) provide it. That's what you've asked for,
and that's why these Forums exist.

One of the above posters no longer uses Genesis. The other has heard unsettling
things about their quality. I have personally been at war with Genesis' Glen
Larson since April (after using their data extensively and exclusively for over 3
years).

Although I've documented and directly pointed out some of the errors to Larson
(which he has twice acknowledged and admitted to), the man continued (continues?)
to sell the faulty data to an unsuspecting public - anyone who could pay for it is
a friend of Larson - never mind if the product is any good or not. Put your own
adjective to this dishonesty - I call it crooked, and Glen Larson is president of
Genesis.

That's the long of it. The short of it is - Larson/Genesis is neither ethical nor
honest. Travel their road at significant risk.

If you'd like more information about this scam, please contact me offline.

As far as data retrieval - I now use CRB Bridge Information Systems for Historical
Data, and DTN for daily downloads. I'm satisfied with both. DTN, however, is a bit
pricey, and I'll likely be changing soon, but only for that reason. From what I've
read, Pinnacle seems to be reputable, and their data reliable. Was your experience
with them alright? I've yet to hear a detrimental comment about them - my kind of
company. I'll be knocking at their door.
