However long it takes for (i) the filling broker to write the executed order on
his card, (ii) for the filling broker to pass the card to his filling clerk by
the broker's side, (iii) for the filling clerk to hand-signal the fill to the
phone clerk at the desk, and (iv) for the phone clerk to pick up the right
handset and say "You paid 32 even for 10 [or whatever]" --- in my experience,
around 5 seconds.

And just why do you want to trade in fast markets???  A suicidal death wish,
perhaps???
My goal is to trade, not to gamble.
