I am thinking of buying 1 DEC Yen 7200 Call and
a DEC Yen 6800 put on Monday. The idea for the trade is as follows:

There may be intervention in the yen. This normally pushes the
yen up about 10 against the $ (that is approx 500points on the Future). if that
happens the call will be in the seriously money. The reason for the put is to
profit from any possible collapse in the honk Kong$ and the Chinese currency in
which case the Yen would be way past 150 making the put seriously in the money.
The only problem I can see is if all these dont happen in time.

> One of my favorite techniques is to find stock that were down big
during the day but rallied substantially off those lows by the close of
trading.<

John:
I would write a scan something like this:
1. Yesterday's Close minus todays low is equal to or greater than 5.
(Enter the desired amount of drop).
2. (Today's Close) equal to or greater than today's (( High minus the
Low), x .8,) x 100. Enter the
desired decimal times 100 to get the percentage.

Example:
Yesterday's close was 50, and todays low was 45. Rule 1 is met.(=
> 5).
     Today's( High minus the Low), was 2 points. 2 x .8 = 1.60 which is
80% of today's range.
Therefore rule 2 has been met. The stock must finish 80% or more
of today's range, (H-L).
