GEN: Equity Data

I've recently been using Prophet Data Systems for my equity data.  I've been
downloading prices for about 7000 equities.  But, every other day or so
their system hangs forcing me to retry the downloads.

Sometimes this takes several hours and impacts my time for analysis and
scans.  If anybody is using Prophet, do you have any suggestions?

Or can recommend a good source for equity data?
