Hey Arnold, you're certainly entitled to your opinion, but you've made some
pretty strong statements here and in other posts, especially about other
members of this list. Before you put your foot any farther in your mouth,
read below.

This is true Arnold, but you're leaving out the most important piece of
info. In addition to the last seven months, Bill and Hillary have withheld
documents from Ken Starr until the last possible second at virtually every
opportunity. The most egregious example of this was the infamous Castle
Grande billing records, which mysteriously disappeared, and then months
later mysteriously re-appeared in Hillary's reading room (with only HER
fingerprints on them). The Clinton's are solely responsible for at least 2
of the 4 years these investigations have taken. You do the math on how much
money that has caused the taxpayers.

No, but most of them don't lie under oath and then obstruct justice to hide
their lies either.

Apparently you've been living in a cave Arnold. Ken Starr has convicted 31
people of serious crimes, including the sitting governor of Arkansas (who
was convicted by a jury of his peers, not by a DC jury). And by the way,
Starr hasn't even submitted his report yet to congress, so how do you know
the investigation against the Clinton's has gone "nowhere," or was this a
lie on your part?

Polls don't create special prosecutors, Arnold, Attorney Generals do, based
on the laws of the country. In this case Clinton's VERY OWN AG, Janet Reno.
Starr has not done a single thing that Reno hasn't specifically authorized
him to do. As much as you may want "public support" to dictate the law, it
doesn't. To the extent that Reno is appointed by the President who is
elected by the people, Ken Starr IS doing what the American people told him
to do. Nice try Arnold.

You want evidence? Here's some:

The only major piece of legislation that Bill Clinton introduced and got
passed by congress before 1994 that impacted the economy was the second
largest tax increase in history. NAFTA (a Republican idea) has had no real
effect yet because of problems in Mexico. Family Leave? Sounds nice, but
its impact on the economy is totally insignificant. Greenspan was a legacy
(I'll give Bill a few points for Rubin).

Tell me Arnold, if this tax increase was so good and is responsible for the
booming economy, then you're obviously in favor of MORE tax increases,
right? The FACT is Clinton inherited an economy which grew at a 4.5% rate
in the two quarters before he took office. Our rate of growth since his tax
increase has been well below that growth rate ever since. He then proceeded
to try to nationalize the US healthcare system which represents 14% of the
US economy. Imagine putting 14% of the economy in control of a guy who
couldn't even make money in real estate in the eighties when prices were
booming (even in Arkansas).

Everything good in the economy (and the markets) has happened since the
Republicans took back control of the congress in 1994 (welfare reform,
balanced budget, lower interest rates, lower capital gains taxes). Funny
how none of those things happened in his first two years in office. Check
the numbers before you do any more ranting, Arnold.

To end on a positive note, I want to thank you Arnold and every other
Clinton supporter. You've accomplished things I honestly never thought
possible. Before Clinton, Democrats controlled the House, the Senate, a
significant majority of the governorships, and virtually all of the state
legislatures. Since Clinton, all those honors now belong to Republicans.
So I say to Mr. Clinton, "thank you very much, and don't let the door hit
you on the way out."
