Just be careful. Previous posts here and posts from other boards have reported
"horror stories" with the IRS after claiming trader status a la Tessor. The
deductions do save you a lot of money as long as your return doesn't get
questioned. Some previous posters who say they are legitimate traders ran into
problems. I have no special knowledge of these issues other than reading the
posts alluded to. To the extent the stories are true, it pays to be careful
and alert to the possible consequences of expenses being disallowed.
