Lynn, I don't believe the inner planets are involved, simply that they 
are a basically equivalent system that can be factored out. 

Compare apples to oranges. Use the orbital periods of the inner planets 
and compare as ratios to one of the Delta periods. If you use the same 
one that I did, you'll get Mercury =1, Venus = .39 (.382) and Mars = .13 
(.382/3), a pleasantly symmetrical progression. 

A C note in any other octave is still a C note. Through the principle of 
harmonic resonance, the pendulums of all clocks on the same wall 
eventually keep precisely the same time. If I have to choose between 
equivalent clocks, I'll take the easiest to read, Delta.
